In this role, theLicensed Practical Nursesupports providers and clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care within a busy pain management practice. Responsibilities include rooming patients; obtaining and documenting medical histories, vital signs, and other pertinent patient information; monitoring patient flow; returning patient phone calls; administering medications as directed; assisting with diagnostic procedures and treatments; maintaining accurate medical records; stocking exam rooms; and responding appropriately during medical emergencies.
Additional duties include assisting with scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations and pre-certifications, processing medication refill requests according to established protocols, assisting with a variety of clinical functions, ordering and maintaining supplies, cleaning and preparing exam rooms, and completing patient-related paperwork, including FMLA, short-term disability, and long-term disability forms. The Licensed Practical Nurse serves as an important member of the care team, helping to ensure efficient clinic operations and an exceptional patient experience.
