TORCH CUTTER – $14.00/HOUR
Driver Sourceis currently hiring an experienced and dependableTorch Cutterfor our client’s team.
Pay:$14.00/hour
Schedule:
- Summer:Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- Winter:Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Job Duties:
- Operate oxy-fuel torches and other metal-cutting equipment
- Cut steel and other metal materials to specified sizes and shapes
- Measure and mark materials accurately before cutting
- Read work orders, measurements, and basic drawings
- Set up and adjust torches, regulators, hoses, and cutting tips
- Inspect finished cuts for accuracy and quality
- Remove slag and clean finished pieces
- Safely handle and position heavy metal materials
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures, including proper PPE and compressed-gas cylinder handling
Requirements:
- Previous torch cutting, burning, welding, fabrication, or metalworking experience preferred
- Experience usingoxy-fuelcutting equipment
- Ability to read a tape measure and basic measurements
- Ability to safely handle heavy materials
- Must be comfortable standing, bending, lifting, and performing physical work throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail
- Good attendance is amust
- Must be neat, clean, and presentable
- Jeans and T-shirt are acceptable work attire
