EHC is seeking a Yard Forklift Operator for a client in the Houston Area.
Primary Function
As a Yard Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in supporting inventory and material handling operations by safely operating forklifts and other material-moving equipment. This position is responsible for transporting heavy products, equipment, and materials throughout the facility and yard while supporting manufacturing and logistics activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain required forklift certification.
- Transport full-length pipes and other materials throughout the yard, including loading and unloading trucks.
- Move various types of materials both indoors and outdoors as needed.
- Perform required preventative maintenance and routine inspections on forklifts.
- Maintain pipe storage racks and material storage areas.
- Support manufacturing operations by moving products to required locations.
- Assist with rig preparation and return operations as needed.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities when required.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Operate Cat V Forklifts
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Tools, Equipment, and Machines
- Forklifts and related material handling equipment.
- Applicable inspection, measuring, and test equipment as required by work instructions and operating procedures.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma, GED, trade school certification, or equivalent literacy skills.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience preferred.
- Must be able to operation a Category V forklifts in pipeyard.
