We are actively seeking a Project Manager to join a well-established Southern California general contractor with a strong reputation for healthcare and commercial interior construction. This family-oriented company gives its project leaders real ownership, steers clear of micromanagement, and genuinely values work-life balance, which is a big reason team members typically stay six to eight years. In this role, you will take the helm of hospital and medical construction projects across the Inland Empire, guiding budgets, schedules, contracts, and buyout while partnering closely with your Superintendent, hospital facilities leaders, design teams, and inspectors. Experience delivering California HCAI (formerly OSHPD) healthcare work is a major advantage, and accomplished commercial tenant improvement PMs are warmly encouraged to apply as well. If you bring 5+ years in construction and a proven record of running projects confidently from start to finish, apply today and callDynamic’s recruiting teamat .
Reasons to Join This Team
- Lead with true ownership:A trusting, hands-off culture lets you make the calls and run your projects the way strong leaders do.
- Stability you can build a career on:Average team tenure of six to eight years reflects a company people choose to stay with.
- Work with lasting purpose:Your projects help hospitals keep caring for patients while improving the spaces where healing happens.
- Life outside the jobsite matters:A flexible, family-minded environment that respects your time and your people at home.
- Grow the next generation:A company with a proud history of developing engineers into project leaders, with you helping shape that path.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Steer healthcare and commercial interior projects from preconstruction planning and mobilization through agency signoff, turnover, final financial completion, and lessons learned.
- Command the full financial picture by building budgets, forecasting accurately, tracking commitments, and producing cost reports that keep every project on solid footing.
- Shape smart procurement and buyout strategies, leveling scopes, analyzing bids, recommending awards, and holding subcontractors and vendors to high performance standards.
- Administer owner agreements, subcontracts, purchase orders, notices, and change orders with precision, driving each change through entitlement, pricing, approval, and collection.
- Navigate HCAI requirements confidently alongside the Inspector of Record, hospital representatives, and design professionals, while keeping RFIs, submittals, ASIs, design revisions, and permit records airtight.
- Partner side by side with your Superintendent to build and maintain the schedule, align field execution with approved documents, and course correct quickly when progress drifts.
- Plan thoughtfully around live hospital operations, including phasing, utility shutdowns, restricted access, and infection control measures that protect patients, staff, and daily care.
- Serve as the trusted primary voice for hospital clients, owners, architects, engineers, consultants, trade partners, and internal teams.
- Spot regulatory, constructability, cost, schedule, and operational risks early, then act decisively or escalate before they affect quality, safety, or client relationships.
- Run productive project meetings, inspections, testing, and punch walks, while coaching Project Engineers and offering meaningful input on their performance and advancement.
To Be Successful in This Role, You’ll Bring:
- 5+ years of construction experience, including hands-on project management of jobs delivered through completion, ideally with a commercial general contractor.
- HCAI/OSHPD healthcare construction experience strongly desired, with recent HCAI 1 (formerly OSHPD 1) acute care hospital work a standout plus; seasoned commercial tenant improvement PMs are also a great fit.
- Proven command of cost, schedule, contracts, procurement, change management, risk, and client communication, plus confidence interpreting drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Phased renovation experience inside occupied healthcare facilities, along with working knowledge of infection control and shutdown or utility coordination, is highly valued.
- Comfort collaborating with IORs, HCAI staff, hospital facilities teams, architects, engineers, and specialty consultants.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Architecture, or a related field preferred but not required; prior Assistant Project Manager experience or equivalent responsibility is a plus.
- Working proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software preferred, along with openness to learning additional construction management platforms.
- A decisive, organized, solutions-focused leader who balances multiple priorities calmly, communicates with clarity, and enjoys developing emerging talent.
Benefits & Perks
- Fully covered health:Medical, dental, and vision insurance paid 100% by the company for you.
- Income protection:Short-term and long-term disability coverage, also 100% company-paid.
- Retirement savings:401(k) with a generous company match once you reach six months of service.
- Time to recharge:Two weeks of vacation, five sick days, and eleven paid company holidays each year.
- Tools on the company:A company-provided car or truck, plus a laptop and phone.
