Senior Director, Research & Development / Head of R&D, Medical Devices
My client, a global medical device company, needs a Senior Director of R&D to lead its acute care platform. You'll own the pipeline for connected devices, capital equipment, software, and AI/ML clinical decision support, from concept through commercialization.

What you'll be doing
- Define the platform R&D strategy and build business cases for new technologies
- Lead programs end to end across hardware, software, systems engineering, and informatics
- Oversee design reviews, risk management, V&V strategy, and transfer to manufacturing
- Manage departmental budgets, resource plans, and capital investments
- Lead NPD and Sustaining Engineering.
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related area.
- You've commercialized Class I, II, or III devices from concept through launch
- You've led development spanning systems engineering, software, hardware, and capital equipment
- You've built and led global, cross-functional teams in a heavily matrixed environment.
