Established (75+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Associate Attorney for Litigation Defense in Los Angeles, CA

An established firm based in Los Angeles, CA with over 75 years in practice is seeking an Associate Attorney with 5-7+ years of experience to join their team in a hybrid arrangement. This role calls for experience with casualty, professional liability, and business litigation matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while representing clients in litigation and advisory matters.

Qualifications:

5-7+ years of litigation experience in casualty, professional liability, and business litigation
Familiarity with a broad mix of defense matters across casualty, professional liability, and commercial disputes
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of CA and eligibility to practice law in CA
Eligibility to practice law in AZ and/or NV is a plus
Residence in Southern California
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
Ability to manage a caseload independently as a self-starter
Commitment to superior client service and high quality work product
Collaborative approach that contributes to a positive teamwork atmosphere

Responsibilities:

Handle casualty, professional liability, and business litigation matters from case intake through resolution
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
Analyze claims and facts to develop sound case strategy and advise clients on risk and exposure
Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and court appearances
Produce high quality work product within deadlines while keeping clients informed of case developments
Work closely with partners and colleagues to deliver superior service in a team environment
