About the Opportunity

This position operates CNC turret punch press equipment producing sheet metal components to blueprint specifications. The operator is responsible for machine operation, tooling setup, and maintaining dimensional accuracy during production runs. The role works directly from router packets and engineering drawings to ensure parts meet required tolerances before advancing to the next fabrication stage. Ownership of production consistency, in-line inspection, and material handling is central to this position.

What You'll Do

Operate CNC turret punch press equipment to produce sheet metal components
Install, align, and secure punches and dies within the turret assembly
Perform machine setup for simple to moderately complex part runs
Interpret blueprints and router packets to verify part specifications and tolerances
Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
Verify finished part dimensions and identify defects before downstream processing
Load sheet metal material onto the machine manually or using overhead handling equipment
Move raw materials using pallet jacks or forklifts as required
Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain dimensional accuracy and production flow

What You'll Need

Experience operating CNC turret punch press equipment in a metal fabrication environment
Ability to read and interpret fabrication blueprints and shop drawings
Familiarity with dial calipers, squares, and other precision measurement tools
Understanding of basic shop math and dimensional verification
Experience working with router packets and structured work instructions
High school diploma or equivalent
