Journeyman Electrician (Racine)

Take ownership of electrical installation quality on a large-scale Wisconsin data center construction project. We are seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians who can interpret plans, install and troubleshoot electrical systems, and support less-experienced crew members while maintaining disciplined safety and workmanship.

Best fit: a qualified inside-construction electrician who can substantiate apprenticeship, licensing and Journeyman-level work and guide less-experienced teammates.

Location: Racine, Wisconsin

Schedule: Published project schedule is Monday–Saturday, approximately 58–60 hours per week, with a 7:30 a.m. start. Current assignment schedule and overtime must be confirmed; hours are not guaranteed.

Compensation: $62.51/hour Published project classification rate(s), subject to current assignment and union confirmation; final hourly pay is established in the offer process.

Per Diem: The recruiting packet does not provide per diem or a relocation bonus. Candidates should plan reliable transportation and any necessary temporary housing; confirm travel provisions before committing.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform electrical installation using blueprints, schematics and specifications.
  • Install conduit, raceways, cable tray, conductors and associated electrical equipment.
  • Perform terminations, testing and troubleshooting within the scope of the assigned work.
  • Apply applicable electrical codes, site safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements.
  • Guide CW/CE workers, communicate field issues and support quality checks, punch lists and turnover.

Qualifications

  • Documented commercial or industrial electrical construction experience and completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship.
  • An active Wisconsin Journeyman or Master electrical credential appropriate to the work; candidates with other-state credentials must have their Wisconsin eligibility and required credential confirmed before jobsite work.
  • Evidence supporting Journeyman classification through the applicable union process.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints/schematics, perform installation and troubleshooting, and explain the work you personally completed.
  • OSHA-10 Construction before jobsite work, union referral eligibility and the required Journeyman hand-tool kit.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data center, mission-critical or large industrial/commercial project experience.
  • Experience with complex terminations, testing, troubleshooting and code-compliant installation.
  • Experience mentoring less-experienced electricians and coordinating work with field leadership.
