Dredgit Corporation is hiring a QC Manager for a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) maintenance dredging project on the North East River in North East, Maryland. This is a full-time, on-site role for the length of the project.
Responsibilities
- Implement the project Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Plan, with full stop-work authority
- Carry out the three phases of control (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-up) for each feature of work
- Prepare daily operating reports and dredge reports in RMS, and keep submittals current
- Perform hourly effluent testing at the weir
- Identify and track deficiencies, including schedule-related issues, through correction
- Coordinate with operations management and communicate work status to the USACE COR/QA
- Lead weekly meetings with USACE, including preparing agendas and recording minutes
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of documented experience as a QC Manager
- At least 1 year as a Project Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager on construction contracts of similar size and type
- Current USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certificate. Candidates whose certificate has expired will be considered; Dredgit will enroll you to recertify within 90 days.
- Working knowledge of USACE RMS
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
