Disability Services of the Southwest (DSSW) is seeking a passionate and dedicated CLASS Program Director to support individuals with disabilities in achieving greater independence, community inclusion, and quality of life. This position plays a critical role in coordinating services, advocating for clients, and ensuring compliance with CLASS program standards.

Position Summary
The Program Director is responsible for the internal operation of the managed waiver program. This role ensures that services are delivered in accordance with state regulations and program guidelines while maintaining strong relationships with clients, families, providers, and community partners.

Education & Experience
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
Is at least 18 years of age.
* Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field with two (2) years experience in community programs for people with disabilities; or
* High school diploma or high school diploma equivalent with four (4) years experience in community programs for people with disabilities.
* Case Management experience preferred, not required.
* Must be able to demonstrate competence with computer applications such as MS Word and Excel and have the ability to readily learn agency specific software.
* Proficiency in the use of database and spreadsheet software.
* Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
* Must not be convicted of a crime, offense or misdemeanor as defined in TAC 97.241(b), relating to Management.
* Must have and maintain current CPR certification.
* Completion of agency’s CLASS training.
* Must be able to type 35 wpm with 80% accuracy.
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent travel, community-based work, mobility throughout various environments, and the ability to assist individuals as needed. Physical activities may include standing, walking, climbing stairs and ramps, lifting up to 50 pounds or more, pushing/pulling wheelchairs, bending, reaching, and transferring individuals safely when required.

Founded in 1993, Disability Services of the Southwest (DSSW) is one of the largest providers of support services to people with disabilities and the elderly in the State of Texas. Our services include personal attendant services, nursing and therapies, as well as assistance in home modifications, adaptive aids, job coaching and supported employment.
DSSW is licensed by the state to provide a wide range of services to persons with disabilities including Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS), Consumer Directed Services (CDS), Deaf-Blind with Multiple Disabilties (DBMD), as well as private pay care for the elderly and people with disabilities.
