About the Role

The Industrial Maintenance Technician, Electrical & Controls strengthens Filthy’s in-house technical capability, keeping production equipment running safely and reliably. This hands-on role owns electrical troubleshooting and repairs, PLC and controls support, and the preventive and corrective maintenance that keeps the production line running, while also supporting new equipment installation, startup, and commissioning as the facility grows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

· Electrical troubleshooting and repairs on production and facility equipment.

· PLC, controls, and industrial automation troubleshooting, programming support, and maintenance.

· Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair sensors, VFDs/drives, motors, and production equipment.

· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime.

· Support new equipment installation, startup, and commissioning.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade school certificate or Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience, including electrical troubleshooting and repair on production equipment.
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems and industrial controls (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) sufficient to troubleshoot and support automated equipment.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing motors, VFDs/drives, sensors, and mechanical production equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform both preventive and corrective maintenance with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable supporting new equipment installation, startup, and commissioning.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including off-shift or on-call support for production needs.
  • Ability to safely lift/move up to 50 lbs and work in a plant environment (standing, climbing, and confined spaces as needed).

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment, with familiarity with high-speed mixers, automation processes, coolers, and similar production equipment.
  • Hands-on welding experience, particularly equipment repair and process piping a significant advantage for this position.
  • Welding and light fabrication capability for equipment repairs and modifications.
  • Sanitary/process piping repair and welding support.
