Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shop Helper to support CNC machinists in our clean, well-lit manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for individuals with some experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or mechanical fields who are eager to gain exposure to CNC machining.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading parts.
• Deburr finished components.
• Move materials and clean machines and work areas.
• Complete basic production documentation using iPads.
• Learn to use basic inspection equipment such as digital calipers and other measuring tools.

Essential Skills

• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or hands-on mechanical fields preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with an interest in learning CNC machining.
• Comfortable using basic hand tools and learning measurement tools such as calipers.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift/move materials throughout the shift.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn in a fast-paced shop environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• General production and assembly skills.
• Experience with machine operation is a plus.

Work Environment

The machine shop employs 10-12 people, with a total company size of nearly 100 employees. The shop is clean, organized, and operates in its own designated area. The main products include electronic and mechanical drive technology and control systems. The dress code requires pants and closed-toed shoes. The second shift operates from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday to Thursday, with a 25% differential, and training is conducted on the first shift from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Thursday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Eden Prairie,MN.
