Job Title: Quality InspectorJob Description

The Quality Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that components, assemblies, and finished medical devices meet specifications and adhere to the Quality Management System requirements. This position serves as a key quality control point within manufacturing, preventing nonconforming material from advancing through production or being released to customers. The Quality Technician collaborates closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality departments to support inspections, investigations, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical, electrical, PCB, and electromechanical components against engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Verify product configuration, revision levels, serial numbers, lot traceability, labeling, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Utilize inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, microscopes, gauges, and inspection fixtures.
  • Document inspection results and support Material Review Board activities by identifying and documenting nonconforming material.
  • Perform in-process and final inspection of finished devices to applicable workmanship standards.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve quality issues and support investigations, CAPAs, and root cause analysis.
  • Support equipment calibration, qualification, preventive maintenance, and inspection fixture management.
  • Assist with process validations, internal audits, supplier quality activities, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Support development and maintenance of inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation.
  • Support inventory verification and material control activities.
  • Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
  • Maintain clean and organized inspection areas.
  • Perform other quality and manufacturing support activities as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material, and work instructions.
  • Experience using precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, microscopes, and inspection fixtures.
  • Experience working within ISO and FDA Quality Systems.

Work Environment

Work Monday through Friday with shifts starting between 6:30am to 8am, lasting 8 hours. The role involves practical inspections and interaction with Engineering and leadership, including the CEO. You will work in an environment that emphasizes precision and the use of various inspection equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
