Job Description

Job Description

Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

This role operates production machinery in a 24/7 manufacturing environment that produces precision components for critical applications. You will run multiple machines, monitor performance, and perform basic maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output on a structured rotating schedule.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of manufacturing experience in environments such as assembly, machine operation, production, racking, or similar roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate production or manufacturing machinery safely and accurately.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production setting with defined output and efficiency targets.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, including comfort with checking oil levels, monitoring tool wear, and performing simple maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • Proficiency in using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product dimensions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality and consistency.
  • Ability to maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Willingness and ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, including nights and weekends as assigned.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing required PPE in an industrial environment.

Why Work Here?

The schedule provides a predictable 12-hour Panama rotation that offers frequent extended breaks, including every other weekend off and built-in 23 day breaks during the week, allowing you to plan personal time and enjoy longer stretches of days off, especially in the summer. After a successful 90-day period, you become eligible for direct employment with structured pay progression based on performance and skill growth, including higher earnings as you learn to run multiple machines. The consistent schedule, opportunity for overtime every other week, and clear pathways for advancement create a stable environment where effort and capability are recognized and rewarded.

Work Environment

This position is based in an industrial manufacturing facility operating 24/7 with four crews covering all shifts. The environment is not temperature controlled, so it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The plant is fairly clean for an industrial operation; however, floors can be slippery due to oil produced by the machinery, making proper PPE and appropriate footwear essential for safe walking conditions. You will work 12-hour shifts on a Panama (2-2-3) rotation: providing a consistent rhythm with approximately half the days in a month spent at work.
