Job Title: Automation Machine Operator

Job Description

This role focuses on operating terminal block automation machinery in a modern, high-tech production environment. You will set up, calibrate, and monitor automated equipment, ensure product quality through regular inspections, and perform routine maintenance to keep machines running efficiently. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and hands-on experience with machine operation and automation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate automated machines according to production specifications and job requirements.
  • Monitor machine performance throughout the production cycle and adjust settings to maintain optimal operation and throughput.
  • Inspect products regularly for quality, accuracy, and consistency, ensuring they meet established standards.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or software-related issues as they arise to minimize production downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on machinery to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
  • Document production data, machine performance metrics, and any issues encountered in a clear and accurate manner.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards at all times.
  • Work independently on assigned machines, identifying and fixing minor issues without relying on maintenance support.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain smooth production flow and meet daily output goals.
  • Use tools, PC interfaces, and production documentation (such as blueprints or work instructions) to complete tasks accurately.
  • Support continuous improvement by reporting recurring issues and suggesting process or equipment improvements when appropriate.

Essential Skills

  • Proven prior experience in machine operation within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience operating automation machinery is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively troubleshoot and fix minor machine issues without maintenance assistance.
  • Comfort using PCs or machine interfaces to enter data, adjust settings, and monitor performance.
  • Strong attention to detail for product inspection and quality verification.
  • Ability to read and follow basic mechanical or production documentation, such as blueprints or work instructions.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and familiarity with mechanical assembly and production processes.
  • Willingness and ability to follow all safety procedures and regulatory guidelines.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
