Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Eugene, Oregon

Key Qualifications:

• Completion of interpreter training program
• IEPA score above 3.5
• Current and valid licensure meeting all district requirements
• Demonstrated experience providing sign language interpretation in educational settings
• Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team
• Professional references available (required prior to interview)
• Commitment to the assignment dates: 8/24/26 – 6/15/27

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide clear, effective sign language interpretation for a student, mostly in 1:1 settings
• Work closely with DHH staff and additional classroom support to ensure full access to educational materials and experiences
• Maintain ongoing communication with the district and site staff to support student outcomes
• Adapt interpretation style and strategies to suit educational content and student needs
• Travel between the same set of assigned schools in the Eugene area to ensure continuity of service
