The Meadows Original Frozen Custard is seeking two experienced Store Leaders for our high-volume Hampton and Williamsburg locations.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who knows how to lead from the floor. You will be expected to manage shifts, coach employees, maintain product and service standards, solve problems in real time, and work directly alongside your team during busy periods.

This is not an office-management position. Our Store Leader is actively involved in serving customers, preparing products, training employees, maintaining store standards, and making sure the operation runs properly from open to close.

The Meadows Original Frozen Custard has been serving customers since 1950. Our locally owned Williamsburg location opened in 2019, followed by Hampton, and we continue to expand throughout Hampton Roads.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, sets high standards, enjoys developing people, and wants the opportunity to grow with an expanding local business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead opening, closing, and high-volume shifts
  • Direct and support employees throughout each shift
  • Work side-by-side with the team serving customers and preparing products
  • Ensure fast, friendly, and consistent customer service
  • Maintain Meadows product quality, portioning, and presentation standards
  • Train employees on procedures, equipment, food safety, cleanliness, and customer service
  • Coach employees and hold the team accountable to store standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, stocked, and professional store environment
  • Identify problems and take action before they impact the customer experience
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and appropriately
  • Assist ownership with day-to-day store operations
  • Help identify and develop future shift leaders and managers
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees
  • Maintain strong communication between ownership and the store team
  • Ensure health, safety, food-handling, and cleanliness standards are followed at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of management experience required
  • Experience in restaurant, QSR, hospitality, retail, or another fast-paced customer-service operation
  • Proven experience supervising employees and managing shifts
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills
  • Reliable, dependable, and accountable
  • Comfortable giving direction and holding employees to standards
  • Able to remain calm and decisive during high-volume periods
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to cleanliness, product quality, and customer service
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving ability
