Fire Sprinkler Inspector

A growing fire protection company is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join its team. This position is responsible for inspecting and testing commercial fire sprinkler systems while ensuring compliance with applicable NFPA standards and local requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong sprinkler inspection experience, excellent customer service skills, and a current NICET Level II certification in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled fire sprinkler inspections and testing in accordance with NFPA 25
  • Inspect wet and dry sprinkler systems and related components
  • Perform water flow tests, main drain tests, and other required inspection procedures
  • Conduct fire pump testing when applicable
  • Identify and document system deficiencies, impairments, and code-related concerns
  • Complete accurate inspection reports and service documentation
  • Communicate inspection findings and recommended repairs clearly with customers
  • Maintain assigned equipment and company vehicle
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as needed

Requirements
  • NICET Level II certification in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems required
  • 2+ years of fire sprinkler inspection experience
  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA 25
  • Experience with wet and dry sprinkler systems
  • Pre-action system experience preferred
  • Ability to identify system deficiencies and understand code compliance requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work from ladders and lifts and lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills
