With a PRN position, you get the ultimate flexibility. Instead of a fixed schedule, you’ll receive your shifts two weeks to a month in advance, giving you plenty of time to plan around your life. This role is designed to support the team during PTO and other coverage needs, so while it won’t provide full-time hours, it does offer a great opportunity to gain experience, stay active in the field, and enjoy a dynamic workflow.

One of the key advantages of PRN is its builtin variety. Some weeks you might work just one day, while others you could be scheduled two or threemaking it perfect if you’re looking for flexibility, balance, and control over your schedule.

Facility: Novant Health Imaging Ballantyne and Steele Creek

Location: 14215 Ballantyne Corporate Pl and 13557 Steelecroft Pkwy Charlotte

Position Type: PRN Floating

Work Schedule Details: As needed to cover PTO during the week and on weekends. All hires must be able to attend 7 days of training during the week (M-F).

Responsibilities

Serve as an assistant to the Technologists for the purpose of ensuring patients are prepared for their imaging exam and complete the imaging exam in an effective manner.

• Screen patients prior to exam day
• Assist the patient in completing paperwork
• Obtain medical history from the patient
• Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam
• Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room
• Screen the patient for the exam - mainly MRI and CT exams
• Assist the technologist in preparing the exam table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)
• Collate films and deliver to Radiologist
• Maintain linen inventory
• Assist with quarterly imaging inventory
• Research availability and obtain reports and films requested by Radiologist
• Serve as liaison between the Technologist and Radiologist
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have CPR certification

Prior Experience:

• Minimum 0 – 2 years of experience
• Experience as a technical assistant, preferred
