Software Integration Engineer - Linux/Ansible/Python - 8+ yrs of Experience - TS/SCI w/Poly Clearance

Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a Software Integration Engineer who willbe responsibledelivering fast, reliable, and secure software deployments across a wide range of highperformance computing environments. In this position, the Software Integration Engineer is responsible for orchestrating and managing complex configuration changes and software updates across production systems, ensuring every phase of the delivery lifecycle adheres to the highest standards of security, compliance, and performance. Additionally, the Software Integration Engineer serves as the Tier 3 technical escalation lead, collaborating closely with Operations & Maintenance teams to diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues. This includes conducting indepth root cause analysis and developing automated remediation strategies that improve system stability, prevent recurrence, and enhance longterm operational efficiency.

Salary Range

The projected compensation range is 227K-241K(annualized USD)

Salaryis determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements

LCAT Description: Provides expertise in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.

The Level III Software Integration Engineer (SIE) shall possess the following capabilities:

• Ability to integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.
  

• Generate documentation for the full software stack.
  

• Update software for sustainment support.
  

• Basic Linux system administration skills and shell scripting.
  

• Execute test codes for characterization of software performance.
  

• Provide software product ownership for HPC tools.
  

• Working knowledge of CM tools, web documentation, and issue tracking.
  

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and switch between various architectural paradigms.
  

Required Skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
  

• Experience with IaC principles and automation tools using Ansible
  

• Experience developing with Python to develop custom Ansible modules
  

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, containerd, Podman
  

• Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services in a Kubernetes environment
  

• Experience with DevOps/GitOps principles, concepts, and best practices creating release candidates for deployment, maintaining, and troubleshooting pipelines
  

• Working knowledge of Git, including branching strategies and tagging
  

• Experience developing comprehensive, high-quality technical documentation for new products and modifications such as installation guides, troubleshooting run books, and architectural diagrams
  

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
  

• Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
  

• Familiar with Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools such as Netbox
