WORK SOMEWHERE WITH A STORY
As part of the George Eastman Museum team, you’ll play an important role in keeping people, collections, and historic spaces safe while helping visitors feel welcome.
You will:
- Keep visitors, staff, volunteers, students, and collections safe
- Respond calmly and quickly to emergencies and safety concerns
- Monitor restricted areas and help prevent theft or unauthorized activity
- Provide a welcoming, professional, and inclusive visitor experience
- Document incidents clearly and communicate important information
- Work closely with Security, Facilities, and other Museum teams
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who is observant, dependable, professional, and comfortable working with people.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid New York State Security Guard License
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Security or law enforcement experience
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be at least 21 years old
