The Rigger will support industrial equipment lifting projects under the direction of the Rigging Supervisor. This role will assist with planning and executing lifts, secure loads, coordinate with crane and equipment operators, and maintain a safe, communicative work environment. The position primarily uses forklifts, hoists, and specialized lifting systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning loads and determining appropriate rigging methods for industrial equipment.
- Set up rigging systems and prepare lifting equipment for operations.
- Secure loads to ensure stable and controlled movement.
- Coordinate signals with crane and equipment operators during lifts.
- Inspect lifting and rigging equipment before use.
- Operate or support operations involving forklifts, hoists, and specialized lifting systems.
- Execute lifts while assessing hazards and maintaining site communication.
- Maintain rigging equipment and support safe, organized project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of rigging hardware and lifting applications.
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working in industrial environments.
- Ability to identify hazards and maintain situational awareness.
- Strong team communication skills.
