Pay Rate: $22 – $24/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to provide front- and back-office clinical support, including patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, POC testing, and EMR documentation.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in addition to an externship.
Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
Hands-on phlebotomy/venipuncture experience.
EMR experience.
Experience performing EKGs, POC testing, and vaccine administration.
Current BLS or CPR certification.
Strong computer, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with patients ages 2 and older.
Responsibilities
Provide front-office and back-office clinical support.
Greet, check in, room, and obtain vital signs for patients.
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture.
Administer vaccines according to established protocols.
Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.
Schedule appointments and assist with administrative tasks.
Answer phones and assist patients with inquiries.
Maintain accurate patient information and documentation in the EMR.
Support fee collection and health center dispensing workflows.
Provide clinical and administrative support to the healthcare team.
Assist with health education and outreach activities.
Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment.
