Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Staff Engineer - Advanced Manufacturing in Chicago, IL. This is a permanent job. Compensation is up $165K/yr base salary plus bonus and stock plan contribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of advanced welding technologies, including robotic MIG, TIG, and laser welding
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes for quality, efficiency, and scalability
- Lead capital equipment projects from specifications and supplier selection through installation and commissioning
- Manage projects, budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Support production troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and new product development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Strong hands-on experience with welding processes and robotic/automated welding systems
- Experience leading capital equipment and system implementation projects
- Experience in heavy equipment, automotive, or similar production environments
- Strong project leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
