We’re searching for a passionate and skilled ITAD Technician – Testing & E-Commerce to join our team. If you love working with technology, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want to make a real impact, this could be the perfect role for you!
What You’ll Do: Your Key Responsibilities
As an ITAD Technician, your day-to-day work will be dynamic and impactful. Here’s what you can expect:
Device Testing & Grading- Test, diagnose, grade, and wipe laptops, desktops, tablets, and servers.
- Identify and replace components such as CPUs, RAM, drives, and power supplies.
- Perform data erasure while maintaining accurate test results and records.
E-Commerce & Customer Support- List products on e-commerce platforms (e.g., photos, titles, descriptions, pricing, inventory).
- Answer customer questions, handle after-sales issues, and manage returns, exchanges, and troubleshooting.
Team Collaboration- Train and support entry-level team members to ensure their success.
- Help improve workflows and contribute to a more efficient department.
What We’re Looking For: Skills and Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- 1+ year of experience testing, repairing, or refurbishing computers or tablets.
- Solid knowledge of computer hardware and the ability to diagnose common faults.
- Familiarity with reading SMART data to assess drive health.
- E-commerce listing or customer service experience (e.g., eBay, Amazon, Back Market).
Preferred Skills (A Strong Plus!)- Hands-on experience with enterprise servers like Dell PowerEdge or HPE ProLiant.
- Ability to build and run in-house test servers for testing and wiping hard drives, server memory, and server CPUs.
- Familiarity with data-wiping tools (e.g., Blancco, nwipe) and server management tools (iDRAC, iLO, IPMI).
- Basic Linux command-line skills.
