Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Production Worker / Rebar Fabricator to join our team. This role involves fabricating rebar used in construction projects by cutting, bending, tying, and preparing steel to meet specific project requirements. Ideal candidates will be safety-minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times.
  • Operate cutting (shearing) machines to cut rebar to specified lengths.
  • Use bending equipment to shape rebar according to project specs.
  • Tie rebar using basic hand tools as required for assemblies.
  • Operate forklifts or material handling equipment to move or load product.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist team members with various fabrication or shop tasks as needed.
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings and bar lists to ensure accurate production.
  • Conduct basic quality checks to ensure materials meet specifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future company sponsorship.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills (ability to read a tape measure, understand fractions/decimals).
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, construction, or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Experience with rebar tying or installation is a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift heavy materials as needed (up to [insert weight, e.g., 75 lbs]).
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in an environment that may be hot, cold, noisy, or dusty.

Special Considerations:

  • This is a safety-sensitive position requiring attention to detail and full adherence to safety standards at all times.
  • Forklift certification is a plus, but training can be provided.
