Craftsmen Contractors is hiring experienced Commercial Plumbers (Licensed or Non-Licensed) for the Jackson, Mississippi area. This is for long term work with the possibilty of being hired on depending on one's performance and attendance. The work schedule is for day shifts Monday through Friday.
Pay is $25 - $28/hour depending on experience
No per diem is offered.
Weekly pay direct deposit.
Job Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial structures.
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
- Follow building plans and blueprints.
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
Job Requirements:
- Proven construction experience with a focus on plumbing in commercial environments.
- Skilled in some welding, pipe threading, assembly, and remodeling techniques.
- Knowledge of plumbing inspection cameras, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Familiarity with local building codes, water systems maintenance, and plumbing system repair procedures.
- Experience operating power tools, hand tools, heavy lifting equipment, and company vehicles safely.
- Strong understanding of construction site procedures, plumbing inspection standards, and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material estimates.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with handyman experience for troubleshooting diverse issues.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and providing customer service.
- Will need to have basic hand tools for plumbing work and the required PPE.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
