Job Description

As an Operator, you will be responsible for troubleshooting automated and secondary manufacturing machines according to manufacturers standard operating procedures. You will complete the setup of production lines and maintain accurate records as required by good manufacturing practices. Additionally, you will ensure the quality of all parts and load materials into equipment as per work instructions. This is a perfect role for someone interested in getting into a technician role.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot automated and secondary manufacturing machines following standard operating procedures.
  • Complete setup of production lines and maintain accurate record-keeping.
  • Ensure the quality of all parts produced.
  • Load materials into equipment per work instructions.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams to resolve production issues.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Use basic hand tools such as torque wrenches, allen wrenches, and spanner wrenches.

Essential Skills

  • 6+ months experience in a manufacturing, production, agriculture, industrial, or military environment.
  • Basic knowledge of automation equipment.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, or military environment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and perform simple math calculations.
  • Team player with flexibility to work in various areas when needed.
  • Comfortable with clean room procedures.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean room setting where employees must gown up to work in the manufacturing area. The facility is where new product lines are designed and built, impacting production directly. Employees will operate equipment, assemble, package, and perform visual inspections, occasionally assisting with warehouse duties. The shift is from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Wednesday, with a rotating schedule every Thursday.

This is a Contract position based out of Hudson, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.88 - $22.88/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
