Precision Mechanical Quality Inspector (Dimensional Metrology)Location
Phoenix, CA
A Day in the Life
You arrive ready to protect quality from the very first part. You review mechanical drawings and specifications, map out the inspection plan, and set up your gauges. With calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools in hand, you verify critical dimensions and tolerances on mechanical components and assemblies. Every measurement is documented, every nonconformance clearly recorded. When something looks off, you partner with engineering and production to resolve issues and implement corrective actions. Throughout the day, you contribute ideas to improve inspection processes, share tips with junior inspectors, and stay current on the latest standards and best practices in mechanical inspection.
