Bilingual Insurance Customer Service Representative - Entry Level Welcome

Lin Zhao Insurance Agency, a Farmers Insurance agency in Fremont, is looking for a bilingual team member who enjoys helping people, communicates clearly, and wants to grow professionally. No prior insurance experience is required. Recent graduates, career changers, and experienced applicants are welcome.

You’ll help clients with their insurance needs, answer questions, and assist with policy updates. You’ll also follow up on agency leads and referrals, prepare quotes, and recommend coverage based on clients’ needs. The role includes customer service and sales goals, with training to help you develop both skills.

Full-time | Monday–Friday | In-office in Fremont, CA

Base pay: $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience, plus commission and performance bonuses.

• Assist clients by phone, email, and in person.
• Help with policy changes, renewals, billing, payments, and insurance documents.
• Read policy documents and carrier communications carefully and explain information clearly.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and follow through on next steps.
• Follow up with agency leads, referrals, and pending quotes.
• Prepare quotes and assist with insurance applications.
• Identify opportunities to recommend additional coverage that meets clients’ needs.
• Work toward customer service, retention, and sales goals.
• Maintain accurate client records and protect confidential information

- Strong English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, including the ability to independently handle phone conversations, read English insurance documents, and write clear emails.

- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese or Spanish, in addition to English.

- Friendly, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.

- Willing to learn, follow up proactively, and become comfortable recommending insurance products.

- Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office, and learning agency software.

- High school diploma or equivalent. No specific college major or college degree required.

- Available to work full-time, Monday–Friday, in person at our Fremont office.

- Authorized to work in the United States.

Customer service, retail, hospitality, banking, office, or sales experience is helpful but not required.
