Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Forklift Operator to join our team in Tipp City, Ohio. The Forklift Operator will safely operate powered industrial trucks and lifting equipment to support the movement, loading, unloading, and positioning of materials throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of forklift or material handling experience, a strong commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to follow established procedures while working in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane-powered industrial trucks to safely move materials.
- Operate forklifts and other industrial lifting devices, including elevating platforms or buckets as required.
- Load, unload, lift, move, and position materials throughout the facility.
- Safely transport materials between warehouse, storage, shipping, receiving, and production areas.
- Perform equipment checks before operating powered industrial trucks and report any safety or equipment concerns.
- Follow established operating procedures and all applicable workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain awareness of pedestrians, equipment, materials, and surroundings while operating a forklift.
- Properly stage and organize materials in designated locations.
- Assist with general warehouse and material-handling activities as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow required PPE, safety, and company procedures.
- Work effectively with team members and other departments to support daily operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of previous forklift, warehouse, or material handling experience.
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks preferred.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate gasoline, diesel, electric, and propane-powered equipment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform physical material-handling duties safely.
