J.Mark’s Restaurant is looking for dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. We’re seeking cooks who take pride in preparing quality food, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining high standards for cleanliness and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to J.Mark’s recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Set up and stock assigned station before service.
- Maintain proper portion sizes, food quality, and cooking temperatures.
- Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner services.
- Communicate effectively with fellow kitchen team members and management.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
- Properly store, label, and rotate food products.
- Assist with prep work, cleaning, closing duties, and other kitchen responsibilities as needed.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude and contribute to a strong team environment.
Qualifications
- Previous line-cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions consistently.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry kitchen supplies.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
