Job Title: Production AssociateJob Description

The Production Associate performs hands-on food processing, grading, and packaging in a temperature-controlled, cold-storage environment. You will work on an assembly line to prepare seafood products according to strict quality, safety, and hygiene standards while maintaining efficient production flow and accurate labeling.

Responsibilities
  • Cut, clean, trim, and portion seafood products according to established company specifications and quality standards.
  • Sort and grade raw materials and finished goods by size, weight, and quality to ensure consistency and compliance with production requirements.
  • Place products into trays, bags, or boxes and operate automated vacuum machinery to seal packages securely.
  • Apply accurate labels to finished retail and wholesale packages, including weight, date, and product information.
  • Follow strict Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines during all processing and packaging activities.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene by using required personal protective equipment and following sanitation procedures at all times.
  • Clean and sanitize work surfaces, tools, and machinery daily to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a safe food production environment.
  • Monitor products and equipment during production and immediately report any machinery malfunctions or product quality issues to supervision.
  • Work efficiently on a moving conveyor line, performing fast-paced and repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Handle crates and boxes safely by lifting, pushing, and pulling them as needed to support continuous production flow.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in production, general labor, or general production environments.
  • Ability to follow strict food safety procedures, including Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Capability to maintain high standards of hygiene and consistently wear required personal protective equipment such as hairnets, smocks, gloves, and boots.
  • Physical ability to work long shifts in refrigerated rooms maintained between 30 and 40 degrees.
  • Stamina to stand and walk on concrete floors for the duration of an 8-to-10-hour shift.
  • Strength to routinely lift, push, and pull crates or boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to perform fast-paced, repetitive hand and wrist movements on a moving conveyor line.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate packaging, labeling, and quality grading.
  • Ability to recognize and promptly report machinery malfunctions or product quality issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in food processing, seafood handling, or cold-storage production environments.
  • Familiarity with operating automated vacuum packaging machinery.
  • Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment with established production targets.
  • Strong reliability and punctuality to support continuous production operations.
  • Willingness to learn and follow detailed procedures for safety, sanitation, and quality control.

Work Environment

The environment involves regular handling of seafood products and operation of automated vacuum packaging machinery. Personal protective equipment, including hairnets, smocks, gloves, and boots, is mandatory and provided to support hygiene and safety standards. The work setting is fast-paced, structured, and focused on meeting production targets while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Doral, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
