Location: Waterloo, IA 50704
Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Overtime may be scheduled
Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite

Description:

Job Summary

The Engineer Quality II supports quality engineering, manufacturing process improvement, engineering testing, inspections, and product development. This role works with senior engineers to analyze processes, implement engineering solutions, identify process gaps, and support quality and regulatory requirements.

This is a shop-floor position, with approximately 80% of the time spent on your feet in the factory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support quality engineering assignments involving manufacturing and materials processes.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and process requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of engineering solutions and feasibility testing.
  • Collect and analyze test data to validate engineering designs and solutions.
  • Support the development and evaluation of engineering standards and specifications.
  • Perform inspections to evaluate engineering work and equipment integrity.
  • Identify quality issues and recommend corrective or remedial actions.
  • Coordinate activities with subcontractors and suppliers and serve as a point of contact when required.
  • Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures and support change management initiatives.
  • Support knowledge management systems and provide guidance to team members.
  • Participate in product development and engineering activities.
  • Analyze customer requirements and support product delivery using established systems.
  • Work within project plans to achieve assigned engineering and quality objectives.
  • Support engineering technical operations, health and safety, risk management, and compliance activities.
  • Assist with review, reporting, costing, budgeting, and project scheduling activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in: Engineering, Engineering Technology, Communications, Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics Or a related field
  • Open to recent graduates with manufacturing internship experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing/shop-floor environment.
  • Ability to work onsite and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
