Location:

Work Environment

This is an onsite role supporting a large fleet operation across Midland, TX, Pecos, TX, and Carlsbad, NM. The position combines office-based responsibilities with hands-on fleet oversight, including vehicle inspections, vendor coordination, and customer support. Regular travel between fleet locations may be required, and the role reports to a corporate team while serving as the primary onsite fleet representative.

About the Role

We are seeking a Fleet Operations Manager to oversee daily fleet operations and serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders. This position is responsible for managing the full vehicle lifecycle, maintaining compliance and safety standards, supporting customer relationships, and driving operational efficiencies while optimizing fleet performance and costs.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day fleet operations to ensure vehicle availability, safety, and operational efficiency.

Manage the full vehicle lifecycle, including acquisition, maintenance, inspections, repairs, and disposal.

Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve operational issues and provide ongoing support.

Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality service and cost-effective maintenance solutions.

Monitor fleet expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Maintain accurate fleet inventories, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.

Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.

Analyze operational data and generate reports using Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Provide exceptional customer service and account support to fleet clients.

Required Skills & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Bachelors degree in Business or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

5+ years of fleet management experience with knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.

2-5 years of customer service, vendor management, or client account management experience.

Strong understanding of fleet operations, logistics, and compliance requirements.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Ability to drive and remain on your feet for extended periods.

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Experience supporting multiple locations or large-scale fleet operations preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
