Job Title: General Labor / Machine Operator

Job Description

This role works in a custom manufacturing shop producing expansion joints and related components. You will operate machinery, follow documented procedures, and adhere to all safety protocols to manufacture high-quality parts. The position requires careful attention to detail, accurate documentation of work performed, and the ability to read and interpret schematics and written instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production machinery and equipment to manufacture expansion joints and various parts according to established procedures.
  • Follow detailed schematics, work instructions, and production documentation to ensure products meet required specifications.
  • Set up machines for production runs, including adjusting settings, preparing materials, and performing basic checks before operation.
  • Assemble components using appropriate hand tools and equipment in accordance with manufacturing standards.
  • Document all work performed, including production counts, quality checks, and any issues encountered during the manufacturing process.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working around machinery and in an industrial environment.
  • Inspect materials and finished products for quality, reporting any defects or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient and safe operations.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and timelines.
  • Stand for extended periods while performing machine operation, assembly, and production tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in general labor tasks related to production and manufacturing operations.
  • Hands-on experience with machine operation and machine setup in a production setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, instructions, and production documentation.
  • Experience with assembly work using hand tools and related equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Capability to stand for long periods of time while operating machinery and performing production duties.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with documentation writing and recording production activities.
  • Comfort working with various hand tools and basic mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively on a 3rd shift schedule.
  • Willingness to learn new machines, processes, and procedures as needed.

You will work primarily on 3rd shift within the ERP department as a pressline operator, supporting continuous production operations. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lodi, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
