Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure required
- Experience providing school-based speech services (elementary or comparable setting preferred)
- Knowledge of best practices for assessment and intervention with students who have autism or a variety of communication challenges is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage students, families, and faculty
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations for elementary-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, adapting methods for diverse needs
- Provide direct therapy services within classroom and pull-out settings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
- Maintain detailed records of assessments, progress reports, and session notes in accordance with relevant guidelines
- Participate in IEP and team meetings, contributing expertise on communication interventions
- Offer consultative support and resources to staff and parents as needed
