Job Title: QA/QC Specialist

Job Description

The QA/QC Specialist ensures that all electrical installations and associated construction activities for mission-critical data center projects comply with contract documents, specifications, quality standards, and commissioning requirements. This role focuses on maintaining strict adherence to quality expectations, reducing rework, supporting smooth commissioning, and ensuring the facility achieves hyperscale-level reliability standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all electrical installations and related construction activities comply with contract documents, project specifications, quality standards, and commissioning requirements.
  • Conduct daily field inspections of electrical installations, including conduit, wiring, terminations, grounding, equipment mounting, labeling, and testing activities.
  • Validate that all work is performed in accordance with NEC, NFPA, project specifications, and hyperscale client standards.
  • Review and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and installation drawings to verify compliance and identify potential issues.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and provide quality-focused input to reduce the risk of rework and improve installation efficiency.
  • Support vendor qualification and evaluation activities for specialty systems or materials, ensuring alignment with defined quality and compliance expectations.
  • Maintain detailed quality reports, inspection logs, test documentation, equipment data sheets, and commissioning-related records in an organized and auditable manner.
  • Prepare and update inspection and test documentation to support commissioning sequencing and turnover requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to provide weekly status updates, maintain issue logs, and integrate quality activities with overall project controls.
  • Use construction management tools to track quality issues, document inspections, and support project reporting and coordination.

Essential Skills

  • 37 years of electrical construction experience, preferably on mission-critical projects such as data centers, semiconductor facilities, or industrial plants.
  • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E.
  • Experience applying data center owner standards and hyperscale client requirements to electrical installations.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and installation drawings.
  • Familiarity with commissioning sequencing (L1L5), testing standards, and turnover documentation requirements.
  • Ability to conduct detailed field inspections of electrical systems, including conduit, wiring, terminations, grounding, equipment mounting, labeling, and testing activities.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining detailed quality reports, inspection logs, test documentation, equipment data sheets, and commissioning-related records.
  • Capability to participate in constructability reviews and provide quality-focused feedback to reduce rework.
  • Experience validating work against NEC, NFPA, project specifications, and client standards.
  • Proficiency with construction management tools such as Procore, Autodesk Build/BIM 360, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience on mission-critical data center projects or similar high-reliability facilities.
  • Background supporting vendor qualification and evaluation for specialty systems or materials.
  • Experience working with commissioning teams and understanding of commissioning documentation requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with project management and project controls teams.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly document findings and convey quality expectations to field teams and stakeholders.

This is a Permanent position based out of Port Washington, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $110000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
