This Construction Project Engineer role supports complex commercial and advanced industrial projects by managing construction documentation, coordinating between office and field teams, and ensuring accurate, timely project execution. You will work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain project flow, contribute to estimating and planning, and uphold high standards of quality and organization across all project phases from setup through closeout.
ResponsibilitiesThis role is primarily onsite at a manufacturing facility in Peoria, with the expectation that you attend meetings at an office in Tempe as needed. You will work closely with field leadership and office teams in an environment that combines jobsite activity with office-based coordination and documentation. The organization operates as a medium-sized firm with a casual, respectful atmosphere and a balanced culture that emphasizes mentorship, professional development, and advancement opportunities. The company maintains a strong project backlog and offers the benefits of working for a specialized subcontractor, allowing you to focus on a defined niche rather than managing multiple external contractors. The work environment includes regular use of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and construction technology tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms. The role follows a standard professional dress code appropriate for both office settings and visits to active jobsites, with safety-appropriate attire and personal protective equipment as required. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
