- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages (coffee, espresso drinks, teas, blended drinks).
- Take customer orders, offer recommendations, and note customizations or dietary needs.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other caf equipment.
- Serve or prepare food items such as pastries, sandwiches, or baked goods.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and seating areas.
- Restock supplies (coffee beans, syrups, cups, pastries).
- Process payments using POS systems.
- Educate customers about menu items, brewing methods, and product differences.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including inventory tasks.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to operate coffeemaking equipment.
- Knowledge of beverage recipes and brewing methods.
- Basic math skills for handling payments.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and stand for long periods.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (commonly required).
- Prior experience in food and beverage or customer service is preferred but not always required.
- Training in coffee preparation or hospitality is a plus.
