Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial processing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations. This role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems, including pumps, conveyors, valves, compressors, heat exchangers, boilers, and spray drying equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair industrial processing equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems.
  • Repair and maintain pumps, conveyors, valves, compressors, heat exchangers, boilers, and spray drying equipment.
  • Work independently as well as part of a team to ensure continuous plant operations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure safe plant operations.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working with steam systems and boilers is preferred.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Industrial Maintenance Certificate or equivalent mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Experience maintaining industrial or food processing equipment.
  • Welding skills including MIG, TIG, Arc, and sanitary welding.
  • Ability to fabricate and modify mechanical components.
  • Knowledge of pumps, valves, compressors, heat exchangers, bearings, seals, and conveyors.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical controls and troubleshooting.

Work Environment

The work environment includes food and beverage manufacturing conditions, with exposure to moving mechanical equipment, noise, heat, steam systems, and industrial processing areas. Occasionally, you will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and elevated work areas. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching, with the ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally. Must be open to working all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lemoore, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
