As we continue to grow our Renewables portfolio, we’re looking for an Estimating Manager who brings strong estimating expertise, a collaborative leadership style, and a genuine commitment to developing people.

In this role, you’ll lead both projects and people, guiding renewable energy estimates from preconstruction through constructability while partnering closely with project teams. You’ll oversee and mentor a team of 4–5 estimators, foster open and respectful dialogue with Project Executives and operations leaders, and ensure estimates reflect sound strategy, financial accountability, and realworld execution. This is a handson leadership role for someone who enjoys asking the right questions, respectfully challenging assumptions, and helping teams deliver successful projects togetherwhile shaping meaningful infrastructure that supports a more sustainable future.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,200 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 7+ years of experience leading estimating efforts on complex EPC and design-build projects, with renewable energy experience strongly preferred, including utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, wind, or related energy infrastructure.
• Proven success managing estimates from early development and preconstruction through constructability and project execution.
• 5+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing estimating or preconstruction teams.
• Deep understanding of EPC project delivery, risk management, pricing strategy, and the factors that drive successful renewable energy projects.
• Strong financial and business acumen with experience in cost modeling, value engineering, and bid strategy development.
• Proficiency with industry-leading estimating platforms such as WinEst, HCSS HeavyBid, DESTINI Estimator, or similar tools.
• Collaborative leader who builds trust across estimating, operations, engineering, and executive teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and is excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of clean energy.

Nice to Have

• Utility-scale solar, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), wind, transmission, substation, or other renewable energy infrastructure projects.
• Led or contributed to pursuits in the $5–$10M range
• Exposure to selfperform work, labor rates, and subcontractor cost analysis
• Ability to think with a field execution mindset and understand schedule and risk drivers

Compensation

Target Hiring Range: $124,000 - $166,000 annually

Boldt recognizes that experience, expertise, and specialized skills create value. The target hiring range for this position is $124,000 - $166,000 annually; however, compensation is determined based on qualifications, experience, certifications, geographic market conditions, internal equity, and business considerations. In addition to base compensation, employees may be eligible for incentive compensation and participation in applicable company benefit programs.
