We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Registered Nurse to join our surgery team. This position provides an opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment while being cross-trained in Pre-Op, PACU, and Operating Room nursing. At this time, this facility performs cataract extractions with IOL implants two days a week.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care throughout the surgical experience.
- Complete pre-operative assessments, preparation, education, and IV access.
- Provide post-anesthesia care, including monitoring, assessment, pain/nausea management, and discharge teaching.
- Assist with circulating duties in the operating room and maintain a safe, sterile environment.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other members of the care team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with maintaining an organized, efficient, and patient-focused surgical environment.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Previous perioperative, PACU, or ambulatory surgery experience preferred, but strong acute-care nursing experience will be considered.
- Excellent assessment, communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and work across all areas of the surgical center.
Schedule: Monday and Thursday, daytime hours with no evening or overnight shifts.
