RN - ED (Nights)

This is a Registered Nurse – Emergency Department opportunity at a 198-bed, Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM a community situated in the San Juan River Valley at the crossroads of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. The facility serves a wide regional population and holds accreditations in PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory services.

The role. Working nights in a 48-bed Emergency Department (with flex space), you will care for a diverse patient population that includes presentations of ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, chest pain, and abdominal pain. The department operates under a team nursing and pod system model, with a social worker and a unit educator assigned directly to the department. You will apply skills in trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation, and will work with equipment including Zoll Defibrillators, Level One Blood Transfusers, QinFlow Blood Warmers, Hospira Plum360 pumps, Freestyle and iStat point-of-care devices, and ultrasound-guided IV placement. Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track. Charting is done in Cerner.

What we're looking for.

• RN – ADN (minimum education required)
• At least 2 years of acute care experience
• Skills and experience in Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Moderate Sedation
• BLS required upon submission. All other required certifications can be obtained after hire; please refer to Life Support Certification document in attachments.
• Open to candidates who do not hold New Mexico or Compact licensure. Candidates must obtain prior to start.

Schedule. Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.

Compensation. $29.05 - $46.48/hr plus $2 sign-on bonus
