Position Summary
Vertex is looking for a Task Force Housekeeping Manager who deploys to resorts across the Florida market to stabilize, support and strengthen housekeeping operations wherever the need is greatest. This is not a single-property role: you will move between resorts to cover openings, support peak periods, step in during leadership transitions and help properties get back to standard.
You will assist the Housekeeping Director in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all guest rooms meet One Source and client brand standards. This role drives service quality, team performance and operational efficiency to support an exceptional guest experience, with a clean, well-staffed, well-trained department at every resort you visit.
Responsibilities
• Lead, coach and motivate housekeeping supervisors, room attendants teams at each assigned property.
• Quickly assess each department on arrival: staffing, schedules, equipment, room readiness and inspection results. Build and carry out a plan to correct gaps.
• Maintain brand and resort cleanliness standards through room inspections
• Manage labor through scheduling, productivity targets, overtime control and daily forecasting aligned to occupancy and arrivals.
• Control supplies, linen, chemicals and equipment par levels, and keep the department within budget.
• Train, onboard and cross-train team members, and develop on-site leaders so standards continue after you leave.
• Enforce safety, sanitation, lost-and-found and health standards, and company policies.
• Provide clear handoff notes and status updates to resort leadership and regional management when leaving a property.
• Be willing to work alongside the team and step in on the floor when needed.
Qualifications
• Hospitality operations leadership experience in Housekeeping or Front Office, having been a supervisor or manager of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. English is required.
• Comfortable using basic IT systems, such as email, scheduling and labor tools, housekeeping or property management software, and standard office applications.
• Preferred Spanish and/or Haitian Creole, which helps in communicating with Florida housekeeping.
• Experience in resort, full-service or large-property housekeeping operations.
• Must be able to Stand, walk and climb stairs for extended periods, and move throughout large properties, including guest rooms, back-of-house areas and outdoor spaces.
Travel Requirements
• This role requires travel between Florida resorts, up to about 20% of the time, including overnight stays.
• Travel may come in waves, with assignments lasting a couple of weeks at a time, followed by periods with little or no travel.
• Candidates must be able to drive or otherwise arrange reliable transportation between properties.
• Travel details, such as lodging and mileage or expense handling, will be provided by the company.
