General Labor About the Role
Complete Logistical Services is hiring Contract/Temporary General Labor team members in Avondale, LA. This role supports day-to-day operational needs by assisting with physical tasks that help keep work moving efficiently and safely.
Success in this position means arriving prepared for a 12-hour shift, following safety procedures, completing assigned tasks accurately, and maintaining reliable performance while meeting eligibility requirements, including a TWIC card and a drug screen.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials as directed.
- Perform general warehouse or job-site tasks to support daily operations.
- Follow established safety procedures, including PPE and site rules.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas.
- Handle materials and equipment carefully to prevent damage and injuries.
- Complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes during 12-hour shifts.
- Report issues, unsafe conditions, or missing materials to the appropriate lead.
- Adhere to attendance and punctuality expectations throughout the contract period.
- Support inventory-related activities, including basic counts or staging (as assigned).
- Maintain readiness to work in varying conditions and perform physical labor.
Requirements
- Valid TWIC card (required).
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts as scheduled.
- Ability to pass a drug screen (required).
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, if applicable).
- Prior general labor experience (preferred).
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong reliability and commitment to completing assigned tasks safely.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials as needed for the role.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
