Shipping & Receiving Associate
Location: South Charlotte, NC
Pay: $17.50/hr
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Openwork is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate for a warehouse in South Charlotte. This position is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, checking products for accuracy, organizing materials, and entering information into the company system.
Job Duties
- Receive and check incoming shipments
- Compare packing slips and purchase orders to ensure orders are accurate
- Unload and organize products in the warehouse
- Label and store materials in the proper locations
- Report damaged or incorrect shipments
- Assist with inventory counts and inventory tracking
- Use RF scanners and computer systems to enter data
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized
Requirements
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience preferred
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Experience using RF scanners is a plus
- Good attention to detail
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and move materials regularly
- Must be comfortable with repetitive heavy lifting
- Ability to safely unload and organize incoming shipments
- Comfortable working in a warehouse setting for the duration of the shift
