Job Title: CNC Machine OperatorJob Description

The CNC Machine Operator plays a vital role in producing machined parts by setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines and manual machines. This position ensures quality and safety standards are met, maintains records, and oversees the maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC machines and related production equipment to manufacture metal components.
  • Perform basic machine setups, tool changes, and adjustments as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and drawings.
  • Measure and inspect parts using calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Work with various metals including steel, stainless steel, copper, and aluminum.
  • Operate equipment such as CNC mills, drill presses, punch presses, and other fabrication machinery.
  • Monitor machine performance and identify quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate production records and inspection documentation.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.
Essential Skills
  • Previous CNC machine operation experience.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • 1-2 years of Mill Operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to pass tape measure test.
  • Experience with measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and technical drawings.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
