Job Title: Mechanic
Job Description
The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the operational readiness of a diverse fleet that includes company vehicles, traffic control equipment, trailers, sanitation equipment, and other operational assets. This role performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to keep all equipment safe, reliable, and available for field operations across multiple service lines. The Mechanic works independently, prioritizes repairs effectively, responds quickly to operational needs, and is able to mobilize to other offices or job sites as required, while consistently focusing on safety and efficiency.

Work Environment
This role operates in a combination of shop and field service environments, primarily based in a mechanic shop in Chesapeake, VA, with regular travel to respond to service calls as needed. The typical shift runs from 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. Work involves hands-on maintenance and repair of trucks, trailers, pump trucks, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, traffic control equipment, and sanitation equipment, often using tools and equipment suited to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding tasks.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $83200.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
