Clinical Service Desk Support

Los Angeles, CA | Onsite
Contract-to-Hire
Shift: 11:00 AM-7:30 PM

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Clinical Service Desk Support professional for an onsite contract-to-hire opportunity with a major healthcare organization in Los Angeles.

This role provides application and technical support to clinical users, with a primary focus on the Cerner electronic medical record environment. The ideal candidate will bring previous healthcare service desk experience, strong troubleshooting ability, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Local candidates only. This position requires onsite work in Los Angeles, CA 90032. Candidates must also be available to attend the final interview onsite.

Responsibilities
  • Provide phone and email support for Cerner EMR technical issues
  • Troubleshoot application, access, and user-related issues through resolution
  • Determine when issues require escalation to other Information Services teams
  • Provide prompt, professional, and courteous support to clinical and business users
  • Support Cerner account creation and modification
  • Assist with Active Directory password resets and access-related requests
  • Coordinate with Cerner technical support and internal teams to resolve issues
  • Provide basic over-the-phone system training and guidance to end users
  • Create and maintain training guides, procedures, and support documentation
  • Document and monitor workflows and related processes
  • Stay current on system changes, updates, and support procedures
  • Perform additional service desk and application support duties as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of service desk experience
  • Previous EMR support experience required
  • Clinical healthcare experience required
  • Cerner experience strongly preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting user accounts, applications, and Active Directory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate confidently and professionally in meetings and with stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Interview Process

The interview process is expected to include 2-3 steps, including Microsoft Teams/video interviews and a final onsite interview.

Additional Requirements

Candidates who list professional certifications or licenses on their resume must be able to provide documentation verifying those credentials.

This position is subject to healthcare onboarding requirements, which may include background screening, employment and education verification, drug screening, TB testing, and applicable immunization documentation.

Pay Details: $32.00 to $36.00 per hour
